I am the Grey Beard of seismology at USC. Technically, my title is Distinguished Professor Emeritus. I arrived at USC in 1974 and retired in May of 2009. I am also the Founding Director of the South Carolina Seismic Network. Current activities include pursuing my ongoing curiousity regarding intraplate seismotectonics and reservoir induced seismicity. I am also trying to finish a book on the History of Geophysics.
